MulchingOrchards, Vegetation,Roadside, Paddocks

Fast, clean land clearing across the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Maleny, the Mary Valley, Gympie, Bundaberg and Northern NSW — vegetation turned into mulch on the spot, leaving the ground ready for the next job.

What we do

Fast land clearing retains moisture and suppresses weeds.

Mulching — Orchards, vegetation, roadside, paddocks orchards. Benefit: fast land clearing retains moisture and suppresses weeds. Rather than push-and-burn clearing, Kustom Contracting turns timber, regrowth and scrub into a layer of mulch that stays on the block, locking in soil moisture, suppressing weed competition and feeding organic matter back into the ground.

We run forestry mulching through the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and Maleny, across the Mary Valley and Gympie, up into Gin Gin, Bundaberg and Kingaroy, and south into Canungra, Byron Bay and Bangalow in Northern NSW. The work covers macadamia, avocado, citrus and mango orchards, sugarcane country, roadsides, fence-lines, fire breaks, lifestyle blocks and overgrown paddocks taken over by lantana, wattle regrowth or woody weeds.

Because everything is processed on the ground, there are no burn piles, no smoke, no permits to chase and nothing to haul away. The result is a tidy, usable block with a protective mulch layer doing real work for the soil long after we leave.

Questions

Frequently asked

What size vegetation can you mulch?+

From light regrowth and lantana right through to mature trees, our forestry mulching attachments handle a wide range. Tell us the heaviest material on the block and we'll match the right machine.

Is mulching better than burning?+

For most properties — yes. Mulching leaves no bare soil, no permit headache and no fire risk, and the residual mulch layer holds moisture and suppresses weeds for months after the job.

Do you mulch orchard rows?+

Yes. We work orchard inter-rows and row-line mulching for macadamia, avocado, citrus, mango and similar tree crops across SEQ and regional QLD.
